FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Courses, certificates, access and fitness to practise: the questions we are asked most.

Are the courses CPD certified?

Yes. Our courses are CPD certified and, when you finish a course, you download a CPD certificate showing your name, the course title and the CPD hours.

How do I get my certificate?

Open the course from My Courses, work through it, then click "I have completed this course". Your certificate opens in a new tab and downloads as a PDF. Please save it: each certificate can be downloaded once.

Can these courses help with a fitness to practise case?

Many professionals use structured, relevant CPD and written reflection as part of the remediation evidence they show their regulator. Our courses are designed for that kind of reflective learning. We cannot predict or guarantee the outcome of any case, so please also follow the advice of your representative or defence organisation.

Which professions are the courses for?

Professionals registered with the GMC, NMC, HCPC, GDC, GPhC, PSNI, GOC, GOsC and GCC, plus social workers registered with Social Work England or the SSSC for our cross-profession courses. Each course page shows who it is written for.

How do I access a course after buying it?

Log in and go to My Courses. Every course you have bought is listed there; click it to open the course page, then press "Start / Continue Course".

Can I study at my own pace?

Yes. Courses are online and self-paced, so you can stop and come back whenever suits you.

Are you part of a regulator?

No. FTP Course is an independent CPD provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any UK health or social care regulator.

Is there an assessment?

Yes. Each course ends with scenario-based multiple-choice questions (15 on most courses, 40 on the Fitness to Practise core course) with a pass mark of 80%, plus a written reflective account you can keep for your portfolio.
